For those of us that made the right choice to stay in Johannesburg, during the Durban July Weekend, we were spoilt at the Moët Wimbledon Mens’ Final Event, hosted at the gem boutique hotel, The View, in Auckland Park. In true Moët fashion, the champagne flowed, as we watched in anticipation as to which tennis player would take the coveted title. Mother Nature decided to play nice and bless the day with great weather. Dressed in vintage cream, guests included Times Editor Andrea Nagel, starlet and ever-so-sweet Zizo Beda, Louise Carver, Jill Grogor and husband Klaus and not forgetting . I ran into a stunning Rosie Motene, who is one of the hardest working women in the industry. between strawberries and cream, I chatted to Reality TV star turned All Access Presenter (throw in Radio DJ too) Dineo Ranaka donning sexy shorts about the realness of her show “Dineo’s Diary”. Another fantastic person that I met was, News Anchor Natasha Thorp, who had to go to work after the festivities. Best Dressed Ladies were Jenny Andrew in a vintage dress along with Angela Deh who really dressed the part. Peta Eggierth-Symes told us about her hat collection, include the Philp Treacy one she had on. Dapper man Simba Mhere was the perfect master of ceremonies, and obviously made for Top Billing. Carly Fields was on the edge of her seat towards of the end of the game, screaming for her favourite player, “I can’t help it” she cried. In the end, Andy Murray won the Wimbledon Men’s Final, but the real winners were Moët.
